About this benchmark

The federal government already measures what pasture rents for, county by county, every year — and then publishes it where working ranchers will never see it. This site pulls those numbers straight from USDA NASS, computes the percentiles, ranges, and history the raw survey doesn't give you, and puts your county's answer one search away.

It is run by one independent operator. Nothing here is opinion — every figure traces to a specific survey release, and the methodology page shows exactly how each number is made. No accounts, no trackers, no ads dressed up as content.

One sponsor per page section, always labeled, never touching the numbers. The primary audience is livestock insurance and ranch financial planning services reaching ranchers at the moment they're setting or renewing a lease — county pages and the rankings page are the placements that matter most. Ask about the current rate.
